Lord of the Rings: Return of the King 6

The nephew of Theoden, king of Rohan, Eomer led the armies of Rohan well until the wizard Gandalf healed Théoden of his weakness. Theoden once again took command of his kingdom, and after fighting against the Uruk-hai of Saruman, Theoden marshaled all his people to march to Gondor's aid. Eomer rode as second-in-command, leading his eored against the forces of Mordor bravely. Upon the death of his uncle the king, Eomer became the king of Rohan. He later journeyed with Aragorn and the free soldiers of Middle-Earth to challenge the dark lord Sauron before the Black Gate. Victory was achieved, Aragorn was crowned king of Gondor, and the two kingdoms renewed their friendship.

Eomer comes with his coronation outfit, which includes his normal battle armor, but overtop was worn a regal cloak. His face is calm and noble, which is somewhat of a welcome change over the mouth wide open pose from the Two Towers edition. His sword hangs at his side. The cloak is actually unique from the other Lord of the Rings figure cloaks -- it wraps around his shoulders, it does not clasp.

Excellent facial likeness and sculpt, excellent armor. Pretty good articulation -- the pauldrons (shoulder guards) make entire arm swiveling a little difficult. Relatively easy to stand on his own, with or without cloak.

Assassins Creed 7

An assassin's assassin. The hero of Assassin's Creed comes to life as the newest release from NECA's Player Select line of action figures! This supremely detailed Altair figure stands approximately 7-inches tall and includes terrific accessories like a retractable blade, removable swords and daggers, and alternate hands. Bring this video game legend home today! Assassin's Creed is a 3rd-person stealth game developed by Ubisoft Montreal in which the player assumes the role of Desmond Miles, an average bartender who is the last descendant of a long family line of assassins. Desmond has been taken to a facility where he is forced to use the Animus, a machine that traces and recreates the memories of his ancestors during the Third Crusade. Through these memories, the player controls Altaïr (Arabic, 'The Flying One' or 'Flying Eagle'), a member of the Assassin Brotherhood. Altaïr's objective in the game is to slay 9 historical figures propagating the Crusades in the year 1191. (According to Ubisoft developers, all of the main character's targets are historical figures who died or disappeared in 1191, although not necessarily by assassination.) Electronic Treebeard

This Treebeard figure is incredible. He is very tall, and when you attatch his extra top branch that he comes with it makes him even taller. He has great detail, complete with little leaves and branches coming out of him. He looks a LOT like the Treebeard in the film, too, which is a definite plus. But even by itself it is just an amazing toy. He is quite heavy and solid, seems very well-made, and I love the fact that he is so big because I have him towering above all my other figures, as it should be. The button you press to make him talk is made to look like a little green branch, which is a nice touch.

My favorite is when he says the "Little Orcs," with all that great Treebeard hooming and homming, and when he talks his eyes light up yellow and his moustache moves up and down. His hands are so cool, I can't wait to get Merry and Pippin so he can hold them. The arm-lifting action is a definite bonus. He is very loud, it was suprising when I got him out of the box how LOUD he is. But I like it that way because it makes it more like Treebeard.

My only complaint- and it's a small one- would be that the packaging had him strapped in at every corner so tight that it was like trying to break a pal out of Alcatraz. But I would rather have it that way than have him arrive broken. Over all, this is a wonderful LotR item and if you are collecting the figures this is a must-have. I just got him recently and I can't stop playing with him. (and I'm supposed to be an adult- ha!) He's hard to put down. He's worth the price and then some. ~Maldoror

Zoids Supreme Elephander

Zoids Supreme Elephander

It's not quite a model, and it's not quite a toy--it's a ZOID. This fearsome motorized Elephander seems like a model because you need to snap it together out of the plastic pieces provided. But it's also a toy, because once you've assembled the well-armed beast, it can crawl around and snap its jaws with motorized, battery-operated action. Younger kids might be intimidated by all the construction involved, but Elephander's step-by-step instructions (and the fact that you don't need any glue or special tools) help a lot. --Paul Hughes

Description:
Elephander, a giant robotic mammoth, bristling with weapons and accessories. This Super Motorized Zoids figure is the largest Zoids yet. Originally from the 1980's, Zoids are mechanical monsters you build and customize. Each Zoid comes in kit form and quickly snaps together with no glue, instead using rubber bolts to hold the figure together. The Elephander has a motorized trunk that really moves, an adjustable shield, claws that move and extend, a cockpit that opens, and motorized walking action. Scale 1/72. Requires 1 'AA' battery (not included).
